AMPS at Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum 2026
The AMPS team recently joined mining leaders, investors, technical professionals and service providers in Kalgoorlie for the 35th Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum.
Held from 3 – 5 August 2026 at the Goldfields Arts Centre, Diggers & Dealers remains one of Australia’s leading mining and resources events. The annual forum brings together listed mining and exploration companies, investors, financiers, brokers and mining services businesses for three days of industry presentations, networking and discussion.
Representing AMPS this year were Rebecca, Lauren, Richard and Jessica, who spent the week connecting with clients, partners and professionals from across the Australian resources sector.
Connecting with Australia’s mining industry
With more than 150 exhibitors and thousands of delegates expected to attend, Diggers & Dealers provides a valuable opportunity to hear directly from mining and exploration companies while discussing the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.
For AMPS, the event was an opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, build new relationships and speak with mining professionals about the technical and operational priorities affecting projects and operations across Australia.
These conversations are particularly valuable for our team. As a mining engineering, geology and technical services consultancy, staying connected with the people working across operational sites, projects and corporate teams helps us better understand where additional capability, specialist expertise and practical support are needed.
Our team enjoyed discussing topics including mining operations, technical services resourcing, mine planning, operational improvement, workforce capability and the broader outlook for the resources industry.
The 35th Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum
The 2026 forum opened with a keynote address from the Hon. Joe Hockey, former Treasurer of Australia and former Australian Ambassador to the United States.
His address provided delegates with commentary on the global economic outlook, international trade, investment and the wider geopolitical environment influencing Australian businesses and the resources sector.
The opening session attracted a packed auditorium and set the scene for three busy days of company presentations, exhibitions and conversations throughout the Goldfields Arts Centre precinct.
The forum program featured presentations from listed mining and exploration companies alongside a 3,000-square-metre exhibition area showcasing businesses from throughout the mining supply chain.
Kalgoorlie continues to provide a fitting setting for the event. As one of Australia’s most recognised mining communities, the city gives delegates an opportunity to engage with the resources sector in the heart of the Western Australian Goldfields.
Conversations beyond the conference floor
Some of the most valuable conversations at Diggers & Dealers happen outside the formal presentations.
Across the three days, the AMPS team attended industry functions and networking events, including gatherings hosted by Women in Mining and Resources WA and the WA School of Mines Alumni.
These events provided further opportunities to connect with mining professionals from a wide range of technical disciplines, commodities, organisations and career backgrounds.
There were plenty of conversations, several familiar faces, a little dancing and even a memorable photograph with a Perth Mint gold bar after Richard successfully negotiated his way past security.
The week concluded with the Diggers & Dealers Gala Dinner, which brings delegates together to recognise outstanding achievements across the mining industry and celebrate another successful forum.
